We are so pleased to be able to partner with organizations that share the same values as YES AND. Many of the models that you see in our images are represented by Role Models Management, a modeling agency that "aims to work with brands and clients that are making an effort to drive positive change within the industry. Role Models™ loves brands that are socially & environmentally responsible, innovative and cruelty free."
We have some exciting activations coming up with Role Models, so we thought it would be nice to introduce you to a few of them while the details are still coming together. Enjoy!
"By choosing which brands to support and where to shop, we can actively help to shape the industry. Our power to choose offers great potential to create a greener planet that we all want to enjoy!" ~Hartje Andreson
Hartje Andreson has been a model for 18 years and has been using her platform to raise awareness from day one. She is also the mother to an adorable toddler who happened to be our youngest supporter at our launch event in early 2020! Hartje tries to encourage others, through her work, to be mindful of how consumption impacts our earth and she demonstrates that being glamorous does not have to mean being excessive or wasteful. She supports and endorses brands who are ethical, sustainable and cruelty-free. YES, gorgeous... AND passionate!
"Microplastics have infiltrated every corner of the earth including our bodies-- we must fight for fossil fuel divestment, local and federal legislation like Extended Producer Responsibility and bans on single-use products, and amplify the voices of BIPOC victims of environmental racism." ~Madeleine MacGillivray
Madeleine MacGillivray is a Climate Advocate, environmental communicator, and microplastics expert. Born and raised in New York City, Madeleine has been advocating for climate justice since she was a child. She has done marine microplastics research all around the world and is an advisor to the 5Gyres institute. She is currently completing her Masters in Sustainability Management at Columbia University. Watch her "History of Microplastics" talk on the Slow Factory's Open Education platform! YES, stunning... AND brilliant!
"Two quotes I live by are REMAKE's 'Wear your values, vote with your wallet' and Yves Saint Laurent's 'Fashions fade, style is eternal,' as my vintage store is all about quality, timeless and classic vintage pieces that you can pass on from generation to generation." ~Mila Majewska
Mila Majewska is the founder of The Vintage Riot, an afforable luxury vintage and secondhand store. She has been a model for over 15 years, first in Europe and now based in New York City. Mila has a Masters in Political Science and is passionate about staying informed. Working as a model inspired her to learn more about sustainability in fashion. Now, Mila is a ReMake ambassador and finds satisfaction in her new business and using her platform to help others to make more informed choices that have a positive impact on the world. YES, beautiful... AND influential!
