Our style names aren't random. Embedded in the title of each product is a backstory. We have so many sheroes making a difference to human and planetary health, so we thought, "Why not honor them in a small, but meaningful way?"
Founded by a driven, female serial ECOpreneur, YES AND is committed to the idea that empowered women empower women. So, we thought we'd highlight a few of our favorite female-identifying movers and shakers in honor of Women's Entrepreneurship Day on November 19th!
Danni Washington
A marine biologist and ocean advocate, Danni Washington is an entrepreneur dedicated to inspiring and educating today's youth on ocean conservation. From hosting multiple TV shows and educational videos to founding two non-profits, Big Blue & You and Sea Youth Rise Up, Danni's passion for youth empowerment and ocean health is truly admirable.

Gregg is most well-known for founding Beautycounter, a beauty line dedicated to making safe products, free from the thousands of standard harmful chemicals commonly used in making cosmetics. Her commitment to protecting consumers from harmful ingredients is unprecedented in the beauty industry.

Jordana Guimarães
Jordana is the cofounder of FASHINNOVATION, a platform that connects fashion innovators around the world to reimagine a more sustainable, inclusive and collaborative industry. Pre-pandemic, FASHINNOVATION events were held in person, but now they are even more accessible on the virtual platform, and available to rewatch.

Mara Hoffman
Mara's namesake label has been going strong for two decades, but over the course of the last 8-10 years, she transformed her brand into one of the most holistically sustainable fashion brands out there today. Mara advocates for inclusion in fashion and admits that "sustainability" is a constant evolution. She thinks a sort of "survival of the kindest" will determine which brands and retailers can innovate through today's challenges.

Seane Corn
Sean is an internationally-recognized yoga teacher, activist and cofounder of Off the Mat, Into the World (OTM). OTM is an organization that uses yoga and meditation to help shape today's leaders into more self-aware individuals. OTM is aimed at "sustainable, conscious activism and effective community action on and off the mat." Seane's honest ability to bring awareness to global issues through yoga is remarkable.

Zem Joaquin
Zem is the founder of Near Future Summit, which brings together the innovators, inventors, investors and groundbreaking thinkers around solutions for the future. Near Future Summit has been going since 2016 with the belief that collaborative cross-disciplinary solution-hacking can transform our world and "expedite a positive future." Zem is a founding board member of the Cradle to Cradle Product Innovation Institute and also was an editor for Huffington Post after they acquired her blog, "ecofabulous.com," which explored the intersection of style and sustainability.
